The oil charging pump is installed at the rear of the hydrodynamic torque converter and is driven by the shaft sleeve at the rear end of the hydrodynamic torque converter. In the oil supply system of automatic transmissions, the commonly used oil charging pumps are internal gear oil pumps, rotary oil pumps and vane oil pumps.

Working Principle of the forklift oil charging pump
As long as the engine is running, regardless of whether the forklift is moving or not, the charging pump is running to provide the torque converter, shift actuator, hydraulic control valve, and other parts of the automatic transmission with the hydraulic fluid at a certain pressure needed to ensure their normal operation.
In the work of the oil charging pump, the active gear of the oil pump drives the slave gear to rotate, in the gear out of mesh (suction chamber) at the end of the volume is constantly getting bigger, generating suction, the hydraulic oil from the oil pan through the oil filter network into the oil pump. In the gear into the mesh (oil chamber) at the end of the volume continues to decrease, the oil pressure rises, the oil is pressed out of the pump.
